Responsibilities:
- Manages the data center power system throughout the entire cycle, including power distribution design, construction, commissioning, and acceptance.
- Ensures that the power infrastructure (such as high-voltage power distribution, UPS, and diesel generator) meets the data center reliability with Thailand process and standard, energy efficiency (PUE optimization), and compliance requirement.
- Power system planning and design management
- Participate in data center power architecture design, review high and low voltage power distribution, backup power supply (such as diesel generator), UPS, and PDU solutions, and ensure compliance with Thailand standards and requirements.
- Evaluate power load requirements and optimize transformer capacity, cable selection and redundancy configurations.
- Coordinate the design institute and EGAT to complete the power installation application, capacity approval, and external line access solution.
4. Construction and quality management
- Review the construction organization. (such as cable laying and high-voltage cabinet installation).
- Familiar with HV operation procedures, relay protection configuration and energy efficiency optimization strategies.
- Make electrical work delivery plan, manage the progress, and supervise key control points (e.g. high-voltage withstand test, generator load test) to ensure compliance with Thailand Electrical Installation Engineering Test Standard.
- Manage the change process and resolve technical conflicts on site (e.g. bridge crossing with HVAC line).
- Security and Compliance - Implement power operation safety regulations and organize emergency drills (such as diesel generator switchover test). - Ensure that the project passes the power acceptance.
- Cost and schedule control - Prepare a budget for electricity and monitor the procurement cost of materials (e.g. cables, switchgear) to avoid overspending.
- Develop critical path plan (e.g. substation commissioning time) and coordinate civil and electromechanical cross construction.
- Review project scope and progress payment to prevent contract disputes.
5. Teamwork and Collaboration
- Manage the team of electrical engineers and contractors, carry out technical disclosure and skill training.
- Connect with the landlord, EGAT, equipment supplier and construction partner to maintain the cooperation relationships.
Requirements:
- Hold a PMP/Registered Electrical Engineer Certificate.
- Familiarity with international data center standards (e.g. uptime, tier certification).
- Familiar with new energy access (such as solar power + energy storage) and smart microgrid technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical project management, and at least 2 complete data center projects experience.
