Junior Engineer (Extrusion)

Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of the equipment and for stopping activities in the event of an unsafe condition.
• Monitor & control plant performance parameters on extruders as per SOP.
• Operate extrusion line to ensure rated production.
• If any abnormalities are observed in the process, then inform/call immediately QA to take out the circles to measure/minimize the eccentricity to avoid losses.
• Responsibility for 5S for machine area. Responsible for maintaining a clean and good work environment in the work area
• Send shift rejection, wastage & lumps to the proper place within the same shift
• To operate other extrusion lines whenever necessary.
• Ensure cutting dust-collecting bags are empty & cutter should be kept clean
• Manage line operators by giving proper instruction to move finished products to the weighing station and after that to the Finished Goods warehouse
• At the end of shift, submit the machine condition record sheet to SIC with proper feedback
• To give only accepted products to the next process.
• To keep non-conforming products separate from accepted product
• Issue Maintenance report to maintenance department for maintenance-related issues
• Machine output to be optimized and to be run on standard output
• Continuous monitoring of all the critical parameters, analyze the deviation, and take corrective action.
• In case of machine is idle for any reason machine is to be started & set parameters as per SOP
• Take emergency actions to safeguard equipment, processes, and people.

Requirements :

• Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial)
• 3 years experience in the operation of the uPVC extrusion line/related plastic industry.
• Good knowledge of Extrusion processes
• Operating knowledge of rotating equipment, Extrusion machines, and other utility systems.
• Knowledge of HSE
• Good analytical and statistical skills for data evaluation
• Knowledge of related industries (material extruder, injection molding, blow molding)
• Problem-solving skills
• Good English-speaking skills
