Traffic Officer, Mining ( East Kalimantan )

Traffic Officer Location: East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Traffic Officer to manage logistics, shipment coordination, and trade operations for our mining company in East Kalimantan. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in traffic and logistics, 

• Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for coal/mineral shipments, ensuring smooth coordination from mine site to end customers.
• Manage trade documentation, including letters of credit (LC), shipping instructions, customs clearance, and export permits.
• Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations, incoterms, and mining export policies.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, port authorities, shipping lines, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.
• Work closely with internal teams such as trading, finance, and operations to align logistics strategies with business goals.
• Monitor shipping schedules, handle any delays or disputes, and optimize logistics costs.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipment transactions, contracts, and trade documents for compliance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in traffic/logistics/trade operations, ideally in the mining or commodities trading industry.
Industry Background: Must have prior experience in trading firms.
Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of coal/mineral export logistics, trade compliance, and shipping regulations.
• Familiarity with Indonesian mining export policies (DJP, PEB, PIB, BL, surveyor reports, etc.).
• Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in trade documentation and LC handling.
• Language: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
