Scope of Work

Launched in 2023, our client aims to be a key player in advancing impact investment in Indonesia. Its work is centered around three strategic pillars:

  1. Market Development: Raising awareness among diverse stakeholders, advocating for impact investment, and establishing company's business model and revenue streams through memberships and partnerships.
  2. Capital Deployment: Facilitating the flow of capital into high-impact businesses and investment funds by creating innovative funding structures and fostering collaboration across sectors.
  3. Impact Measurement and Management (IMM): Developing a robust IMM framework aligned with global best practices to assess the impact sector effectively.

As Executive Director (ED), you will define and execute growth strategies for these pillars, leading a dynamic organization with considerable autonomy. With guidance from the Board, you'll build the team, drive the mission, and manage the daily operations of the Secretariat, the executive body of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the company to top financial and investment leaders
  • Serve as the executive lead for the Board
  • Ensure effective program execution and communications
  • Cultivate strong relationships with multi-sector stakeholders
  • Engage in government advocacy based on Board direction
  • Oversee financial and non-financial reporting
  • Lead fundraising and develop long-term growth strategies for organizational sustainability

Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of impact investment and relevant stakeholders in Indonesia
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with experience in a startup-like environment
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and writing
  • Expertise in policy advocacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Indonesian

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 3-4 years in leadership roles
  • Experience with impact investment or foundation development is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently, managing diverse teams and stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds
