Job Overview: 

The Head of E-Commerce will lead the company's online retail operations with the primary goal of driving growth in online sales. This role involves creating and executing a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that enhances the customer experience, boosts conversion rates, increases customer retention, and drives online revenue. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in digital commerce, online sales strategies, and a strong understanding of customer behavior in the e-commerce space.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Online Sales Strategy:

    • Create a clear, scalable, and actionable online sales strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
    • Identify emerging trends in e-commerce and digital sales, adapting strategies to keep the company competitive in the online space.
  2. Optimize Customer Experience:

    • Drive initiatives to improve the online customer journey, from product discovery to post-purchase support.
    • Analyze customer behavior and feedback to make informed decisions on improving user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) on the e-commerce platform.
    • Ensure the website or e-commerce platform provides a seamless, fast, and personalized shopping experience across all devices.
  3. E-Commerce Operations Management:

    • Oversee all e-commerce operations, including website functionality, order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service processes.
    • Ensure that the online platform is always operational and optimized for performance.
    • Work closely with the IT team to ensure website reliability, speed, and security.
  4. Sales Performance and Reporting:

    • Monitor and analyze online sales data, KPIs, and metrics to assess performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
    • Create regular reports for leadership regarding sales performance, revenue, customer insights, and market opportunities.
    • Set and track digital sales goals, ensuring consistent alignment with broader business objectives
  5. Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, inspire, and manage the e-commerce and online sales team, setting clear goals and expectations.
    • Foster a high-performance culture by providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent to support the company's e-commerce growth.
  6. Market & Competitive Analysis:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior.
    • Leverage market insights to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
    • Identify new opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, or market expansion

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in e-commerce, online sales, or digital commerce, with a strong track record of driving growth in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, online sales strategies, customer experience best practices, and digital marketing techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
