Job Description:

  • Lead the formulation and execution of a comprehensive business strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall client's vision
  • Formulate and implement a strategic international expansion plan that aligns with our client's broader growth goals
  • Conduct extensive market research and analysis to pinpoint viable international markets and evaluate potential for expansion
  • Drive initiatives to establish and enhance the company's footprint in new global markets, including identifying strategic partners, negotiating contracts, and overseeing new operational launches
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, finance, and operations to facilitate smooth market entry and ensure sustained success in new territories
  • Ensure adherence to local laws and regulations in target markets, working alongside legal and compliance teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of international expansion efforts and regularly update senior management on progress
  • Build and lead a high-achieving international expansion team, providing coaching and support to ensure effective execution of the expansion strategy. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in international business development or expansion, with a strong track record of successfully entering and growing in new markets
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics and cultural nuances within Southeast Asia
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities, with a talent for influencing and building robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects effectively
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel internationally as necessary
