The Project Integration Division (PID) is responsible for all strategic and large capital investments of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP). As part of PID's Project Integration team, the Project Engineer is responsible for supporting PID's project managers with project engineering, project management, site management, and QA/ QC activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Support Project Managers with the smooth execution of projects in accordance with the Division's Project Implementation Framework and ensure projects adhere to the QA/QC standards, as specified in the contracts and agreed upon in the quality plans.
- Responsible for the coordination of site activities by internal resources, consultants, and contractors on project deliverables (electrical, civil, or equipment-related projects).
- Liaise with local authorities (where appropriate) to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. Build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Inspect and validate the quality of work completed for the assigned projects to verify adherence to quality requirements, in compliance with the specification and standards.
- Observe and drive safety rules and practices on site.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise project documentation, progress reports, specifications, drawings, manuals, checklists, and relevant records at designated document repository points.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture based on the lessons learned from past projects and provide recommendations for future enhancement.
- Effectively execute other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Structural or any Engineering-related field.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience in civil/infra, infrastructure, port, or maritime-related industry.
- Exposure to and understanding of the port ecosystem and facilities, i.e., port equipment, substation, wharf & yard, SCADA systems, HV & LV electricity, Building Services, and Infrastructure (Land, Road, Water, Sewerage, etc.) would be preferred.
- PMP certification would be an added advantage.
- Well-structured, able to create an overview of issues, and to follow up thoroughly until resolutions are reached.
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
- Self-discipline and the ability to work independently on the assigned project.
