About the startup
A VC-backed fabless semiconductor startup specialising in custom analog and mixed-signal ICs for high-performance applications in automotive, AI acceleration, industrial automation, and IoT edge computing. Their proprietary chip architectures are setting new benchmarks in power efficiency, signal integrity, and AI/ML processing.
With successful traction in the US and APAC, they are expanding their presence in EMEA and we are hiring a Director of Business Development to drive regional sales, secure high-value design wins, and establish strategic partnerships.
This is a remote-first leadership role, ideal for a technical-commercial expert with deep semiconductor industry connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the EMEA sales strategy for analog/mixed-signal ICs, AI accelerators, and RF chips.
- Secure multi-million-dollar design wins by building relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and semiconductor manufacturers.
- Expand and manage sales channels, including regional distributors, rep firms, and direct accounts.
- Own the full sales cyclefrom technical sales pitches to contract negotiation and long-term customer success.
- Represent the company at major industry events and drive brand visibility.
What were looking for
- 5+ years in semiconductor business development or sales, with a proven track record in ICs (analog, mixed-signal, RF, or AI chips).
- Strong technical knowledge of chip design, ASICs, or SoCs, with experience selling to OEMs, Tier-1s, or industrial clients.
- Deep EMEA network in semiconductor manufacturing, AI hardware, or automotive ICs.
- Experience managing long B2B sales cycles (1224 months) and closing $5M+ design wins.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages (German, French, Spanish, Dutch) are a plus.
