With recent investments in the Australian power market and partnerships with renowned developers, they focus on large-scale Energy Storage & Solar projects. Their diverse portfolio and proven track record in Taiwan and beyond include over 1.5 GW of developed Solar Power capacity globally.

The Opportunity

As they recently invested in the Australian power market and partnered with a renowned Renewable Energy Developer & retail utility company to focus on developing large-scale Energy Storage & Solar projects locally, they are looking for a large-scale Solar & BESS Project Manager to drive the delivery of their development pipeline and interface with relevant stakeholders from development phase through to project completion.

The ideal candidate will bridge technical and engineering areas with local third parties, develop detailed plans, ensure resource availability and allocation, and deliver all projects on time. This highly motivated and experienced Project Manager will lead utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Australia, possessing a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex projects from inception to completion. Position based in Sydney CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee projects from Ready to Build (RTB) to Commercial Operation Date (COD), ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery without QHSE issues.
    • Manage the project pipeline, coordinating all activities to align with strategic objectives.
    • Conduct due diligence studies, site surveys, feasibility studies, and oversee site construction works.
    • Interface with engineering teams, local third parties, stakeholders, and local authorities, including government departments, EPCs, and national utility companies.
    • Liaise with O&M service suppliers to manage system operations post-COD.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget, and lead cross-functional project teams.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks, monitor performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Prepare and present project status reports, document lessons learned, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

    Skill Requirements & Qualifications

      • Fluent in Chinese and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems.
      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; a Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
      • Proven track record of managing EPC processes for solar farms, ideally on the owner's side, with at least 3 years of experience in Australia.
      • Strong knowledge of battery energy storage technology, related regulations, and proficiency in project management software.
      • Passionate about renewable energy, adaptable to market changes, and highly reputable within the industry.
