About the job Windows System Engineer

Responsibilities

  1. At least 2 years of experience operating in an Enterprise environment and processes (L2 or L3).
  2. Plan, deploy, manage and monitor systems and infrastructure of Windows server, Wintel, and Linux environment (90% Windows, 10% Linux).
  3. Daily operational tasks of system administration (health checks, pre and post-patch checks, troubleshooting, diagnostic).
  4. Deploy and configure server/VM builds to support the deployment of applications.
  5. Experienced using vSphere, ESXi and vCenter to manage, deploy, configure and patch will be advantageous for the candidate.
  6. Experience in IT operations, incident management and change management is preferred.
  7. Take proactive actions to ensure that systems and infrastructure meet high levels of availability.
  8. Plan, manage, execute and close change requests and deployments.
  9. Plan and perform patching following best practices (Build, test, snapshot, pilot, release, monitor, rollback).
  10. Perform an assessment of server environments and recommend changes to improve system performance and overall stability.
  11. Perform migrations / installations / upgrades of Windows operating systems and installed applications.
  12. Maintain and operate complex Windows AD and domain controllers.
  13. Liaise with various vendors or personnel for troubleshooting and resolution.
  14. Be on standby for urgent matters, and perform hands-on troubleshooting as required.
  15. Perform security patches on Windows.
  16. Perform firmware upgrade on hardware.
  17. Experience in working and administering any SAN technologies such Pure and EMC.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in administration and troubleshooting of Window Server OS 3 years.
  2. Experience in administration and troubleshooting of VMWare Ver 6 and above 3 years.
  3. Handle any backup software before.
  4. ITIL certified.
  5. Able to handle Storage Area Network 3 years.
  6. Work in cloud technology before.
