Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiology Technician for a travel job in Rochester, New York. This individual will be responsible for producing high quality X-ray images by conducting exams in a safe and efficient manner. Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences departmental policies. Possesses a sound understanding of human anatomy as well as x-ray positioning and the use if immobilization devices when warranted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares room and patient per order, properly sets up equipment, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high quality image.
  • Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider.
  • Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure.
  • Produces a diagnostic, high quality image for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
  • Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats.
  • Maintains appropriate supplies in the x-ray rooms.
  • Completes and bills for studies accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of formal training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology required
  • Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT Certification required in compliance with NYS regulations
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • BLS (AHA/ARC)
  • Experience using C-Arm/O-arm in the past 8 months

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday - Days. 
  • Full Time - Hours may vary based on needs.
  • No call and no holidays.
