About the job Tool & Die Maker
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker with 5+ years of hands on tool and die experience and strong proficiency in SolidWorks. This role requires precision craftsmanship, the ability to build and maintain complex tooling, and experience working in a production manufacturing environment.
This is not an entry level machinist role. We are looking for a true tool and die professional who can independently build, repair, and troubleshoot tooling used in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, repair, and maintain progressive dies, stamping dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
- Utilize SolidWorks to review and modify tool designs.
- Operate manual and CNC equipment including mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM.
- Perform precision fitting, assembly, alignment, and timing of dies.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective modifications.
- Support production by improving tool performance and reducing downtime.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands on tool and die experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience building progressive dies, stamping dies, molds, or similar tooling.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tight tolerance machining.
- Experience with manual machining and CNC equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Hours:
- Full Time - 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
