This role sits within the IT team, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure. We operate a hybrid working model, with a split of three days to be in the office and two days at home. This role is based in Manilla, BGC, Taguig City.
What you will be doing
As the Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IaC, PaaS, and IaaS infrastructure solutions. As a cloud expert, you will work in a small product team alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to design automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced hands-on Platform Engineer who enjoys being in the thick of the doing, the role is very hands on requires somebody who has a passion for automation and the skills to back it up.
- Previous experience and knowledge of how to collaborate with clients to understand their infrastructure requirements and design M365 or Azure-based solutions that meet their needs.
- Proven knowledge on how to monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Strong understanding of implementing, configuring, and managing azure services including virtual machines and networks, storage solutions, and applications gateway.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, Azure Active Directory, and storage solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and other automation/scripting languages.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
- In depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles in the context of Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- A commitment to staying current and up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- High motivated individual with a passion for cloud engineering and desire to work in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a similar role within a financial services firm is preferred but not essential.
- Degree within relevant area
