We operate a hybrid working model, with a split of days being in the office and days being worked at home. Pepper Money has three offices across the UK and one office in Manila, where this role will be based.

What you will be doing

As the Payroll and Benefits Officer, you will provide a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing as well as being responsible for the day-to-day administration of Companys benefits program for our Manila based colleagues.

You will also administer HMO, life insurance, government mandated benefits, loans and other related benefits. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in this role as you will collaborate with Finance to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a candidate who has strong experience in payroll and benefits administration with significant exposure to end-to-end payroll process.

  • Strong understanding of Philippine payroll regulations, labor laws, tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of HMO administration, life insurance and government benefits
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems
  • Experience handling government mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, PagIbig, etc.) and BIR compliance is a must
  • Experience of working in a multi-region owned business (desirable)
  • Proficient in using payroll software and HR Information Systems (HRIS), ideally Sprout
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical, critical thinking skill and the ability to resolve complex payroll issues and work under pressure
  • Communicates clearly and manages stakeholders effectively especially when explaining payroll discrepancies
  • Cultural awareness and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Bachelors degree in one of the following areas, Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field is preferred
