What you will be doing
As the Senior EUC Support Engineer (1st & 2nd line) you will play a crucial role in the IT team overseeing and maintaining user productivity by delivering timely and effective technical assistance. Beyond this you will be responsible for providing world class IT support across the business, ensuring that employees get the most out of their technology with as little disruption and downtime as possible.
As part of this position, you will assist in IT projects such as system upgrades, roll outs, and migrations, while also assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software. You will work closely with other members of the IT team to help revolve complex issues and improve service delivery across the wider business while fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a similar 1st & 2nd line support position
- Understanding of budget planning for end-user computing resources and asset management
- Somebody who can manage relationships within intermediaries and outsourced service providers
- The ability to provide guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the IT team
- Experience in trouble shooting hardware and software issues
- Having worked within the financial services sector is advantageous
- A basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- In depth knowledge of Windows system, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications

- Must have fluent in English both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical users.
- Clear communicator with a customer focused and professional approach
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Skilled in identifying opportunity and implementing improvements
- High level of attention to detail
- Adaptable to changing technology and business needs
Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent technical certification
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or achieve within 6 months of joining
- ITIL Foundation certification
