Revenue Accountant

Location: BGC, Taguig

Shift pattern: Mid-shift 4pm MNL to 1am MNL

Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

We operate a hybrid working model, with a split of days being in the office and days being worked at home. Pepper Money has three offices across the UK and one office in Manila, where this role will be based.

What you will be doing

The Revenue Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Financial Controller to deliver financial results/management accounts. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The delivery of accounting records and processes for our securitisation and warehouse SPVs.

• Helping to manage our technical accounting areas such as loan loss provision deal cost amortisation, bank reconciliations and the completion

• Substantiation of the balance sheet reconciliation process at entity and consolidated level.

• Work closely with other sections in Finance, the Debt Capital Markets team and Credit Risk to ensure the integrity of the management accounts.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in delivery of financial results is desirable.

• An understanding of IFRS 9 requirements

• A degree of understanding of securitisation and loan warehouse structures is advantageous but not essential

• Experience of working within Financial Services is advantageous but not essential.

• Experience within a BPO/multinational/shared services institution is required.

• Strong IT skills, including complex formulas in Excel.

• Ability to work within established internal controls and maintain a high standard of quality across all tasks.

• Ability to form productive relationships at all levels.

• Forward thinking, seeking efficiencies and improvements in activities.

• Able to work under pressure and to deal with multiple tasks efficiently and to tight deadlines.

• Works effectively as a team to develop junior team members and support Assistant Controller.

• You will take ownership of the responsibilities allocated to you.

• Bachelors/College Degree in Accountancy or any related course.

• Qualified Accountant will have an advantage but it is not a must for this role.
