Finance Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the Role
We are looking for a high-potential Finance Manager to lead key financial and management accounting functions for a pharmaceutical manufacturing business. The role will work closely with the CEO and senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business performance and decision-making.
This position is designed for a finance professional who can demonstrate strong leadership potential and is capable of progressing into a Finance Controller role within approximately 12 months, subject to performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Oversee cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis, including product costing and cost controls.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances and business risks, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Strengthen financial controls, policies, processes, and internal governance.
  • Support management in business planning, investment evaluation, and financial decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and management insights to senior leadership.
  • Partner with operations and other business functions to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information.
  • Lead and develop the finance team while preparing for broader finance leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • CPA with strong financial, analytical, and business acumen.
  • At least 8 years of relevant Finance experience.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, preferably within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other consumer-related industries.
  • Solid background in:
    • Financial Reporting and Management Accounting
    • Cost Accounting and Product Costing
    • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Financial Analysis
    • Financial Controls and Governance
    • Financial Investments
  • Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with CEOs and senior management.
  • Proven leadership capability and the potential to assume broader finance responsibilities.
  • Experience in a reputable audit or professional services environment is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
