Role Overview
The Forex Trader is responsible for managing client portfolios through collaboration with the Forex team and developing leads independently. The role executes foreign currency trades, monitors market movements and forex levels, provides market insights to the Head Trader, and coordinates with the Forex Back Office to ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Responsibilities
Forex Trading & Portfolio Management
Execute foreign currency trades in line with client portfolio requirements.
Manage and monitor client portfolios in coordination with the Forex department.
Generate and develop leads independently to support portfolio growth.
Market Monitoring & Analysis
Monitor forex levels and relevant market movements.
Stay informed on current market trends and developments.
Provide market insights and updates to the Head Trader.
Trade Processing & Coordination
Coordinate with the Forex Back Office to ensure smooth processing of forex transactions.
Monitor trade-related activities and address issues affecting transaction completion.
Regulatory & Professional Development
Keep updated on applicable BSP regulations and requirements.
Attend relevant seminars and activities to enhance forex trading knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any four-year course.
At least 2 years of FX/foreign exchange trading or dealing experience in a bank, preferably within a Treasury or Forex function.
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is preferred.
