Job Role Overview
The Talent Sourcer is responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging high-quality talent to support the organization's hiring needs. This role focuses on building strong candidate pipelines, executing strategic sourcing initiatives, conducting initial candidate assessments, and partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure a consistent flow of qualified candidates across various functions and levels.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media platforms, referrals, and other sourcing channels.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical, niche, and hard-to-fill positions.
- Conduct proactive outreach to passive candidates and build long-term talent communities.
- Generate candidate pools to support both current vacancies and future hiring requirements.
Candidate Screening & Qualification
- Conduct initial candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, and role suitability.
- Perform phone screenings and preliminary interviews to validate candidate fit.
- Maintain accurate candidate profiles, screening notes, and recruitment records within the applicant tracking system.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring requirements, candidate profiles, and sourcing priorities.
- Provide insights on talent availability, market conditions, and sourcing strategies.
- Support recruitment teams in meeting hiring targets and turnaround timelines.
Talent Market Intelligence
- Conduct market mapping and competitor talent research to identify potential candidate pools.
- Monitor labor market trends, industry developments, and talent movements.
- Recommend innovative sourcing techniques and talent attraction strategies to improve candidate reach and engagement.
Recruitment Operations & Reporting
- Maintain sourcing trackers, candidate databases, and recruitment reports.
- Monitor sourcing metrics, including pipeline activity, response rates, and candidate conversion rates.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment processes, documentation standards, and data accuracy requirements.
Employer Branding & Candidate Engagement
- Represent and promote the employer brand throughout candidate interactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective candidates and professional networks.
- Support talent attraction initiatives, career fairs, networking events, and employer branding activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruitment, executive search, or talent acquisition.
- Hands-on experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media platforms, and other sourcing tools.
- Strong candidate screening, interviewing, and assessment skills.
- Proven experience building talent pipelines for volume hiring, specialized roles, or difficult-to-fill positions.
- Strong research, networking, and talent mapping capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple hiring requirements simultaneously.
- Experience in agency recruitment, executive search, RPO, or corporate talent acquisition is an advantage.
