Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Technical Writer with a strong interest in cybersecurity and cyber threat intelligence to produce high-quality technical reports and intelligence summaries. This role is ideal for professionals with substantial technical writing experience who possess a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and are eager to develop expertise in threat intelligence analysis.
The successful candidate will research emerging cyber threats using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and internal intelligence platforms, transform technical findings into clear and actionable reports, and collaborate with global teams to support timely intelligence delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Threat Analysis
- Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and internal intelligence platforms.
- Monitor and analyze cyber threat activity, including malware, phishing campaigns, ransomware, software vulnerabilities, and other evolving attack techniques.
- Organize and map threat intelligence to recognized cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and other industry methodologies.
- Maintain awareness of current cybersecurity trends, threat actors, and emerging attack techniques.
Technical Writing & Documentation
- Produce concise, accurate, and well-structured technical reports based on research findings and threat intelligence.
- Translate complex technical information into content that is understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Document threat indicators, attack techniques, malware, threat actors, and related intelligence using established reporting standards.
- Ensure all reports meet quality standards for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global cybersecurity teams to validate research findings and improve report quality.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, team discussions, and continuous learning initiatives.
- Provide support for additional research and documentation requirements as business needs evolve.
Process Improvement
- Accurately interpret raw intelligence data and convert it into meaningful written analysis.
- Follow established documentation standards and reporting methodologies.
- Contribute ideas for improving reporting processes, research techniques, and documentation quality.
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Either:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in technical writing, technical documentation, research, risk analysis, due diligence, or another report-intensive role;
- OR
- At least 1 year of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence or a closely related cybersecurity role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong technical writing, editing, and documentation abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating or night shifts when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cyber threat analysis and the current cybersecurity threat landscape.
- Working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Experience conducting Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) research.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence concepts, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and attack techniques.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar).
- Familiarity with issue tracking or collaboration tools such as Jira.
- Awareness of AI-assisted research or writing tools.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCTI, GCIA, CISSP) are advantageous but not required.
Technical Skills

- Ability to research, analyze, and summarize technical information.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including:
