Job Overview

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Linux infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational and project objectives.
  • Support scheduled maintenance activities, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving critical production issues.
  • Execute operational tasks to ensure the availability and stability of enterprise systems.
  • Manage service requests, incidents, problem records, and change requests using an IT service management (ITSM) platform.
  • Participate in a 24/7 operational support and on-call rotation as required.


Qualifications

  • Expert-level experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
  • Strong experience with VMware infrastructure deployment, administration, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, AWX, or Puppet.
  • Experience working with enterprise job scheduling tools.
  • Solid understanding of Linux security hardening, system performance tuning, and best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex on-premises Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and infrastructure configuration management.
  • Experience with Solaris administration, including logical domains (LDOMs) or similar virtualization technologies, is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage and volume management solutions is preferred.
  • Exposure to Linux workloads running on AWS or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
