External Audit Senior Associate (CPA & NON CPA)

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated External Audit Senior Associate to join our growing Audit team. This role is ideal for professionals with solid external audit experience who are looking to expand their expertise through structured training, mentorship, and exposure to international audit engagements.
You will initially undergo comprehensive onboarding, local audit integration, and hands-on coaching to strengthen your technical capabilities. Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to support offshore audit engagements for Australian clients, working closely with international managers and partners while delivering high-quality audit services.
As a Senior Associate, you will take ownership of complex audit engagements, mentor junior team members, and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of audit quality and client service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform external audit engagements, including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Execute audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing standards and firm methodologies.
  • Handle complex audit areas such as revenue recognition, consolidations, financial instruments, and valuation-related accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and review audit working papers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with offshore managers and partners to discuss audit findings, resolve issues, and facilitate efficient engagement delivery.
  • Identify financial reporting risks, internal control deficiencies, and areas requiring further investigation.
  • Assist in planning audit engagements, monitoring timelines, and ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Utilize audit software such as CaseWare for documentation and engagement management.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior auditors, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the audit process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • 3–5 years of external audit experience, preferably gained from an accounting or professional services firm.
  • Must be based in Metro Manila and willing to work onsite in Makati City.
  • Candidates who can start immediately are highly preferred.
  • CPA license is an advantage.
  • Experience using CaseWare is an advantage.
  • Prior experience auditing Australian companies is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) is an advantage.
  • Ability to independently manage audit engagements from planning through completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent professional judgment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to audit quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and international stakeholders.
  • Leadership potential with the ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
