Role Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, covering demand planning, procurement, importation, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management. The role focuses on maintaining product availability, controlling costs, improving operational efficiency, and protecting inventory and working capital across a multi-site retail and distribution network.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business requirements.
Lead demand forecasting, supply planning, replenishment, and inventory allocation.
Ensure product availability while managing inventory levels and working capital.
Lead the Sales and Operations Planning process in coordination with Sales, Retail Operations, Finance, and other functions.
Procurement & Importation
Oversee local and international sourcing, procurement, and importation activities.
Manage customs coordination, freight, and landed cost considerations.
Lead supplier negotiations, accreditation, contracts, performance management, and alternative sourcing initiatives.
Strengthen procurement governance and supplier management processes.
Logistics, Warehousing & Inventory
Manage warehouse and distribution operations across multiple locations.
Improve inventory accuracy, stock availability, warehouse productivity, and logistics efficiency.
Establish controls to minimize stock-outs, overstocking, inventory aging, losses, and unnecessary working capital exposure.
Oversee inventory allocation and replenishment across branches and distribution points.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
Improve supply chain systems, dashboards, controls, and operating processes.
Use ERP, warehouse management, inventory, and supply chain planning systems to support decision-making and operational visibility.
Develop business continuity plans and strengthen supply chain controls.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop teams across supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, importation, and inventory control.
Build team capability and establish clear performance standards across supply chain functions.
Manage a team of approximately 10–15 or more employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
At least 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehousing, demand planning, inventory management, or importation.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or department-head position.
Experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations within a large, multi-site retail, distribution, automotive, motorcycle, or consumer goods organization.
Strong experience in multiple warehouse operations, inventory investment, importation, customs, freight, and landed cost management.
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, procurement governance, inventory controls, and working-capital management.
Experience using ERP, warehouse management, inventory, or supply chain planning systems.
Experience supporting a large-scale business is highly preferred.
Willingness to travel to warehouses, ports, suppliers, and branches as required.
Proven experience leading and managing a team of at least 10–15 employees.
Strong analytical, commercial, leadership, and execution skills.
