The Accounting Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting, statutory compliance, payroll, tax, and regulatory activities of the Philippine legal entity within a multinational shared services environment. This role serves as the local finance lead, ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, labor laws, BOI requirements, and statutory reporting obligations.

The position oversees month-end close activities, payroll governance, tax compliance, external service providers, audits, and regulatory submissions while collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to maintain operational excellence and strong financial controls.


• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, PFRS, and internal policies.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, balance sheet schedules, and financial variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (where applicable), and corporate governance standards while coordinating external audits.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll administration, including payroll reconciliations, statutory remittances, and compliance with Philippine labor and payroll regulations.
• Manage local tax compliance, including the timely filing and payment of corporate income tax, EWT, FWT, VAT, DST (where applicable), and other BIR requirements.
• Coordinate tax audits, assessments, government inquiries, and monitor changes in Philippine tax regulations.
• Lead BOI compliance activities, including report submissions, registration requirements, incentive monitoring, and coordination with government agencies.
• Ensure statutory compliance with the SEC, BIR, BOI, LGUs, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other applicable regulatory bodies.
• Manage business registrations, permit renewals, corporate records, and statutory filings.
• Oversee relationships with payroll providers, accounting firms, tax consultants, audit firms, corporate secretarial providers, and other finance-related service providers.
• Support procurement and contract management activities related to finance operations.
• Act as the primary finance representative for the Philippine entity and collaborate with regional finance, HR, legal, procurement, and operational teams.
• Provide leadership to finance staff and shared services teams while supporting process improvements, system implementations, and business initiatives.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA required or strongly preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or finance leadership role.
• Experience in a multinational Shared Services (SSC/GBS/BPO) environment, supporting PEZA or BOI-registered entities.
• Strong background in Philippine payroll, taxation, BIR compliance, statutory reporting, BOI compliance, month-end close, external audits, and vendor management.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine tax and labor regulations, PFRS/IFRS, statutory compliance, and internal controls (SOX experience preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting; NetSuite experience is highly desirable, while US healthcare experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed multinational environment.
