Our client, a global consulting and advisory organization, is seeking experienced professionals for a Strategic Sourcing – Management Consulting role within its procurement and outsourcing advisory practice. The role focuses on delivering strategic sourcing, category management, spend analytics, procurement transformation, and operating model advisory services to large global organizations.
This position offers exposure to global stakeholders, cross-functional procurement transformation initiatives, and complex sourcing engagements across multiple categories and industries. The role is positioned at the Consultant to Assistant Manager level and operates as an individual contributor within a global delivery environment.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
The successful candidate will lead and support strategic sourcing, category management, spend analysis, procurement operating model, and procurement maturity assessment engagements across global clients. Responsibilities include evaluating spend data to identify sourcing opportunities, developing total cost models, and generating insights to support procurement decision-making. The role requires exposure to multiple procurement categories such as IT, professional services, marketing, facilities, and indirect spend management.
The position also involves creating dashboards, spend reports, and analytical presentations for client stakeholders while leveraging procurement classification standards such as UNSPSC or similar taxonomies. The candidate will support the development and customization of RFX templates and pricing models, analyze supplier responses, prepare sourcing recommendations, and contribute to business case development for procurement transformation initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement is required, including working independently with global clients across different time zones and cultures. The role also demands strong project management discipline, customer service orientation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in consulting-driven environments.
𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree or MBA from a recognized institution and has approximately 4 to 9 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement analytics, or supply chain consulting. Prior experience within consulting firms, professional services organizations, or global delivery environments is highly preferred.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies, category management, procurement transformation, and spend analytics. Experience working with large datasets and procurement visualization or analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or similar platforms is important. Exposure to spend taxonomy creation and procurement classification frameworks is also valuable.
The role requires strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced consulting environments with minimal supervision. Experience managing end-to-end project delivery and collaborating with global stakeholders is essential.
