Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Thought Leadership professionals to support the development and execution of high-impact content strategies that position Optum Rx as a trusted industry leader. These roles will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing thought leadership content across B2B, B2C, and provider audiences, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive engagement, brand awareness, and business growth.

Depending on experience and qualifications, candidates may be considered for either the Channel Lead – Thought Leadership (Grade 29) or Channel Specialist – Thought Leadership (Grade 27) position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute thought leadership content strategies aligned with business and brand objectives.
  • Create and manage content assets such as white papers, executive point-of-view articles, webinars, videos, blogs, reports, and industry insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, analytics, creative teams, and subject matter experts to develop compelling and audience-focused content.
  • Manage editorial calendars, content workflows, approvals, and publication schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure all content meets brand standards, accessibility requirements, and applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support webinar production, video development, industry events, and thought leadership forums.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and technologies to improve content creation, personalization, optimization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor content performance metrics including engagement, downloads, views, leads, and audience interactions, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain content repositories, governance processes, and editorial standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Identify emerging healthcare and industry trends and translate insights into relevant thought leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

Channel Lead – Thought Leadership (Grade 29)

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in content strategy, thought leadership, B2B marketing, content marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading the development of executive-level content and complex thought leadership programs.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered content tools, marketing automation platforms, and analytics solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and editorial skills.

Channel Specialist – Thought Leadership (Grade 27)

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in content development, marketing communications, content marketing, or thought leadership programs.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working with content management systems, webinar platforms, and digital content tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled content creation and optimization tools is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong content strategy and storytelling capabilities.
  • Experience creating content for executive, professional, healthcare, or B2B audiences.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, audience engagement, and demand generation principles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and optimize content strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration and cross-functional partnership skills.
