Java Engineer

About the Role
A global professional services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join its Managed Services team. The role focuses on supporting enterprise clients through technology-driven solutions, operational improvement initiatives, and delivery excellence.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of scalable applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and service quality. This position also involves mentoring junior team members, managing delivery risks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.



Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and solutions.
• Lead and support project delivery activities across multiple initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and operational requirements.
• Identify potential delivery risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Support process improvement and operational optimization efforts.
• Participate in application deployment, testing, and release activities.
• Mentor and guide junior developers in technical and project-related tasks.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile and collaborative environment.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• -Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  
  

Preferred

• Experience leading or mentoring small technical teams.
• Strong experience with Java, Springboot, Spring cloud, Hibernate / JPA
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts
