Location: Taguig
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Finance policies, operating procedures, and internal control frameworks in accordance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex and judgmental matters, including the preparation of accounting memos, policies, guidelines, and recommendations for Finance stakeholders.
- Lead impact assessments and implementation efforts related to new and revised accounting and sustainability standards, including IFRS requirements and associated system enhancements.
- Review financial reports and disclosures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards; coordinate with internal and external auditors and stay informed of emerging accounting and reporting developments.
- Contribute to strategic Finance initiatives by providing subject matter expertise across process improvements, third-party financial assessments, Finance projects, system implementations, and cross-functional business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline, with a CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, or accounting advisory.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements. Experience with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation within the insurance industry is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities, with the ability to develop practical and effective solutions to complex accounting and business challenges.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
