About the job Internal Accountant

The Specialist – Accounting is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with Philippine statutory and regulatory requirements. This role manages financial reporting, Board of Investments (BOI) reportorial obligations, tax compliance, payroll processing, and mandatory government contributions. The position requires a solid understanding of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.

    • Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities.
    • Prepare and submit BOI reportorial requirements within established deadlines.
    • Ensure compliance with BOI registration, incentive reporting, and documentation requirements.
    • Coordinate with BOI representatives and maintain supporting compliance records.
    • Prepare and file all required tax returns accurately and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
    • Support tax audits, assessments, and maintain complete tax documentation.
    • Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
    • Prepare and remit SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and payroll tax requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and address employee inquiries related to payroll and statutory contributions.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with applicable government requirements.
    • Maintain permits, licenses, registrations, and statutory records.
    • Support business registration, renewal, and other compliance activities.
    • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
    • Recommend process improvements and assist in developing accounting and compliance procedures.

    Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in tax compliance, payroll, or government reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with BOI, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG filing and remittance processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
