About the job OpenShift administrator
Responsible for overseeing managed infrastructure and all technical operations to minimize risk, execute change, reduce service disruptions, and optimize service delivery
This role will be responsible for driving consistent global process across this function and will be knowledgeable of ITIL processes and various infrastructure management technologies and tools
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain container platform.
Deploy new services over container platform.
Manage and maintain clusters with alignment with change management process.
Own operations and administration of our production containerized services to ensure reliability, recoverability, and optimum performance.
Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
Create efficiencies and improve performance and reliability of the environment by use of latest technologies advancement, automations, and process improvements
Develop SRE and DevOps engineers within the global functional team to collaborate with the Automation and Transformation team
Provide thought leadership on our global cloud transformation and senior expertise
Liaise effectively with Service Managers, Project Managers, Security, Product and Operations teams to effectively provide exceptional service
Create, manage, and report against KPIs for their client operations function, overseeing all platform change management and deployment activities
Handling issues escalated to be solved complying with the agreed SLA & OLA.
Taking proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated
Drive innovation and stay abreast of containers\virtualization technology trends and as appropriate, facilitate their adoption in a standard consistent way globally.
Typical skills, and background:
Minimum Experience:
IT Bachelor Degree or equivalent degree.
Minimum 1-3 Years experience in system administration and Information technology experience.
Job specific Skills:
Deep knowledge of containers platform.
Hands-on experience in implementing containers clusters and deploying various services.
Deep knowledge in virtualization technologies.
Ability to mentor and guide individuals on both working practices and technical ability.
Analytical skills and Problem-Solving Ability.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to foster healthy employee relations.
Strong sense of ownership, ability to prioritize, attention to detail and adherence to all compliance procedures& policies.
