Experienced DBA’s that will be able to provide highest level of databases availability through implementing & maintaining high available solutions and maintain data integrity, database migrations across platforms, provide best database performance, tuning and optimization, online backup and recovery function that supports best data recovery time.

  • Responsibilities
    • Administer the implementation of database systems through all IT infrastructure and platforms.
    • Assure highest level of databases availability and to maintain, the data integrity, security and best database performance.
    • Responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the team (Oracle Real Application Cluster “RAC”, Grid, ASM, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate).
    • Enhance the Database Performance to assure using the server resources in the most effective and efficient way.
    • Continuous revisiting and enhancing the different backup and recovery strategies assuring the best data recovery time in place.
    • Administer Oracle Database Server Backup and Recovery using the RMAN.
    • Responsible on maintaining all IT databases under support contracts.
    • Responsible for the data recovery in case of emergency.
    • Monitor and assure the database availability to extremely minimize the unplanned down time.
    • Prepare and revisit HLD and LLD & documentation to support database setup based on technology used.
    • Implement database upgrades, migrations and the major patch sets installation to assure of using the latest available technologies.
    • Install and configure any new product or feature related to the database that needs special high technical capabilities.
    • Enhance implementations SLAs and assure customer satisfaction.
    • Work closely with other team members in evaluating and implementing new solutions, technologies, and products to assure the best fitting technically.
    • Ensure getting max vendor support to solve or improve any technical issue or case.
    • Follow up with the project managers, vendors and head of teams to assure progressing the database projects and planned activities in the proper way.

  • Essential Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related degree.
    • Minimum 5 years' IT experience.
    • At least 4 years' experience in database administration with advanced setup, design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in Oracle database administration, database maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in Oracle high availability solution “Real Application Cluster RAC”, Grid and ASM administration.
    • Experience in Oracle Database Performance tuning experience and SQL tuning.
    • Experience in Oracle replication solutions “Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate”.
    • Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager Setup, configuration and building metrics.
    • Experience in managing Oracle Backup and Recovery using the RMAN with all needed policies.
    • Experience in Oracle Database installations, migrations and patch sets updates.
    • Very Good Knowledge and understanding of SQL/PLSQL.
    • Very Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux OS.
  • Desirable Qualifications (plus)
    • Good knowledge in engineered systems (Oracle Exadata)
    • Oracle Training / Oracle Certified Associate or Professional (OCA or OCP) that cover
    • Oracle Database Administration
    • Oracle Performance Tuning / SQL Tuning
    • Oracle Database RAC (Real Application Cluster), Grid and ASM Administration
    • Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate
    • Oracle Backup and Recovery Administration
    • Good Knowledge in NOSQL Databases
