Our client has over 20 years of experience delivering software solutions and services for MAM, DAM and Content Supply Chain Management solutions to a global blue-chip client base. Their clients include organizations in the evolving new media sector, as well as those in the traditional media, broadcast and audiovisual archive sectors.

Position Summary

This person will define, plan, and execute the sales strategy to create organic growth in the sales activities of the business. This role is key to maintaining and building strong customer relationships whilst driving that growth agenda. Strategically vital, the role is crucial to drive profitability and commercial growth strategies.

Main Responsibility Areas

  • Commit to and drive activities to achieve an annual sales quota. Primary focus is to identify and close opportunities with new logos while farming existing accounts.
  • Using modern sales tools, able to identify and qualify prospects, respond to RFx (with help from pre sales) and attend trade shows
  • Working with executive leadership and marketing, participate in the creation of outbound campaigns to drive leads.
  • Using Salesforce, must pay high attention to detail to maintaining all account information, opportunities, complying with the companys sales process.
  • Ensure 100% self-sufficiency and accountability (quoting, high-level demos, RFP responses) for all
  • Assist in initial customer-originating agreement redlines and purchase order collection and reviews.
  • Provide marketing support (access to customers for press releases & case study content).
  • Provide quarterly analysis of ongoing sales performance (by territory: bookings vs quota, forecasting accuracy, close rate, sales yield, pipeline development).

  • Attend management meetings, annual events, and other activities directed by the CEO.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written communications to technical, business and executive audiences. Including effective demonstration and presentation techniques.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Numerate and leverages this knowledge to enable margin sustainability and growth.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales role.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding persuasion, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate people.
  • Management experience, including ability to manage multiple projects and achieve sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of competitor research and market trend analysis.
  • Ability to show customers and other client stakeholders the companys value proposition
  • Broad understanding of the industry technology and processes.
  • Ability to develop customer relationships by listening to, understanding & anticipating, and providing solutions to customer needs.
  • Results oriented approach to work.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally when required on specific sales opportunities

Work Experience Requirements

  • Broad understanding of the industry, technology and processes.
  • Some experience working with supply chain software industry, content/asset management, digital media spaces or government sectors would be beneficial.
  • Good understanding of (and familiarity with) current storage technologies.
  • Familiar with Sales Forecasting and planning processes, and comfortable using a CRM system (Salesforce.com advantageous).
