About The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Director of DevOps to join our team and take the lead in establishing and delivering our DevOps strategy. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our development team is working efficiently and securely by improving our Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Monitoring and Alerting systems. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the development process and ensuring that the security of our product stays a top priority at all times.

As the Director of DevOps, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive roadmap for our DevOps efforts. You'll work closely with other members of our leadership team to ensure that our DevOps strategy is well-aligned with our company's overall goals and objectives. You'll also manage a team of talented professionals, providing guidance and mentorship as needed. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Establish and communicate a clear path of execution of the DevOps strategy to global leadership and development of teams
• Define, lead and execute on the DevOps vision and strategy with strong focus on security disciplines
• Identify, develop, train and execute on the DevOps lifecycle, tech stack and best practices
• Seek out and develop cloud based technical solutions like Kubernetes, Storage, Databases, preferably in AWS
• Lead, mentor, develop and promote DevOps team members
• Define KPIs than track the efficiencies of DevOps investment
• Lead efforts with infrastructure as code and fully automated deployment environments
  
  

Must-haves

• Current commercial experience in leading a DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure function, within a fast paced, growing environment as a Director or VP
• Previous working experience in building scalable and high traffic systems, and leading IT infrastructure and operations in a critical high-volume environment
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as applied both in high volume business processing environments and in consumer-oriented businesses
• Experience in managing and implementing cloud architecture in a DevOps/Agile methodology
• Automation of Development/Test environment creation process in Cloud (AWS preferred) and Linux platforms
• Able to design, develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD framework to support software product development
• Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools
• Interact with Development/Test teams to understand, develop and support product deployment strategy
• Excellent communication skills in written, oral and presentations
  
  

Good To Have

• 10+ years experience in the DevOps/DevSecOps with 5+ years leading DevOps strategy and delivery
• 5+ years managing a DevOps team in a global environment
• Enabling developer self-service, through developer portals - experience of Backstage, OpsLevel, Cortex, or similar as a further enhancement
• Prior work experience in telecommunications
• Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA related technologies and services
