Field Application Scientist

Our client is a multinational biotechnology company, and is seeking to expand their Japan teams with Field Application Specialists. 

He or she is expected to provide first level and second level technical support during the equipment installation and validation phases, including troubleshooting, customer training and demonstration. Supporting the key account managers in the pre and post sales cycle, the incumbent will be the technical go-to person in both assay design and software applications so as to ensure that customers who are in the research and clinical sectors would benefit the most out of equipment installation. 

A minimum PhD with 2 - 3 years of hands on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform experience, OR PCR/ qPCR knowledge is required for the role. This is a customer facing role, which requires someone with a pleasant, approachable personality.
