Senior Firmware Engineer

We're Hiring: Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer | Singapore

Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge embedded systems that power next-generation biotech instruments?

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a global engineering team, working alongside hardware, mechanical, and software engineers across Singapore and the USA to develop innovative solutions incorporating optics, fluidics, motion control systems, and advanced imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware using C/C++
• Develop essential drivers and modules, perform firmware integration, testing, and release activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and debug embedded systems
• Support projects from concept development through manufacturing release
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and development best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of embedded firmware development experience with hardware integration
• Strong proficiency in C programming
• Experience with RTOS, embedded systems design, and hardware debugging
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and datasheets
• Knowledge of cybersecurity implementation in embedded systems
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel to the US for training and collaboration

Preferred Experience

• ARM processors and embedded RTOS (ThreadX, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, QNX)
• Communication protocols such as Ethernet, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, and TCP/IP
• Version control tools (Git)
• Embedded debugging tools (J-Link, Lauterbach, etc.)
• Linux development environment
• FPGA development, MATLAB, Python, Verilog/VHDL, Xilinx Vivado
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot
