To serve as an experienced professional within the firm, handling intricate tax and accounting tasks with precision. Responsible for providing expert guidance to clients, ensuring compliance with ever-evolving tax laws, and sharing their knowledge with junior associates to facilitate their professional development.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Client Interaction and Account Management:
- Interact proactively with clients to address their inquiries, concerns, and issues.
- Maintain meticulous records of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Compliance and Regulatory Expertise:
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations, providing clients with up-to-date guidance and advice.
- Assist clients in understanding and meeting tax and compliance requirements, minimizing the risk of penalties.
Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
- Proficiently manage bookkeeping tasks, including Payables and Receivables Management.
- Oversee the maintenance of Petty Cash and coordinate with banks for daily deposits.
Calculate taxes owed by meticulously following tax codes and regulations.
- Prepare a wide range of tax returns, from simple to complex, for both individuals and small businesses.
- Strategically help clients leverage federal, state, and local tax codes to maximize their eligible benefits.
- Identify potential deductions, tax credits, and advise clients on minimizing tax liabilities.
- Oversee the registration requirements and thresholds for VAT/ CT.
Financial Analysis and Record Review:
- Review and analyze financial records, including income statements and expenditure documentation.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situations.
Accuracy and Compliance Assurance:
- Verify the accuracy of past tax returns and ensure records are reconciled at all times.
- Refer to tax law handbooks for complex tax returns, ensuring compliance.
- Advise the clients regarding any relevant laws related to VAT, CT, AML,ESR UBO etc
Client Relationship Management:
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Recommend additional financial products and services that align with clients' needs.
Requirement:
- A university graduate in Finance and Accounting
- ACCA/ CA / CPA /CMA qualified or pursuing
- Years of Experience 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Preferably in an accounting firm. Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE.
- Nature of Experience Have excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Quality standards and quality assurance policy and procedure.
- Proficient in VAT and Tax Computations.
