Job Overview:

The FMCG Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, developing strategies to meet sales targets, and managing a sales team to ensure the successful promotion and distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). This role focuses on enhancing brand visibility, growing market share, and building strong relationships with retailers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.

2. Target Achievement:

  • Drive the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Ensure effective execution of sales plans to increase revenue and market share.

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to improve individual and team performance.
  • Set clear sales objectives and KPIs for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

4. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with retail partners and ensure contract compliance.

5. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product availability to ensure smooth sales operations.

6. Market Expansion & Penetration:

  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments for growth.
  • Oversee territory management and ensure effective market coverage.

7. Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure alignment and support for sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in FMCG sales management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, create sales forecasts, and develop strategic plans.
