Tasks and Responsibilities
1) Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and onboard new wedding planners, event agencies and luxury hotels
- Actively prospect via visits, calls, networking events, exhibitions, and social media outreach
- Present supply and order fulfillment capabilities, catalogues, and seasonal offerings
- Build long-term partnerships and preferred-supplier agreements
- Track pipeline and maintain consistent lead generation
2) Sales & Revenue Generation
- Handle incoming wedding & event inquiries from initial brief to confirmation
- Understand theme, budget, and mood board requirements
- Prepare quotations and proposals aligned with margin targets
- Negotiate pricing while protecting profitability
- Achieve monthly and seasonal revenue, collection and margin targets
3) Client Relationship Management
- Become the main contact for planners and event coordinators
- Conduct consultations (in-person or virtual)
- Maintain ongoing communication pre-event and post-event
- Manage VIP and high-value clients professionally
- Resolve issues calmly and quickly
4) Coordination with Internal Teams
- Translate client briefs into clear execution plans
- Work closely with Finance, S&L, Fulfillment, and LMD
- Ensure timelines, delivery schedules are accurate
- Attend major setups when required
5) Event Planning Support
- Provide creative suggestions based on trends and feasibility
- Prepare floral mood boards and references
- Manage last-minute changes professionally
6) Reporting & Administration
- Maintain the pipeline status
- Track conversion rate and average order value
- Review weekly sales reports and forecasts
- Monitor client profitability
- Collect feedback after events
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly revenue, collection and margin targets
- Conversion rate (inquiries confirmed events)
- Average event order value
- Client retention rate
- Number of new accounts opened
- Gross margin
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years B2B sales experience (events, weddings, hospitality, luxury retail, or flowers)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to understand creative briefs and budgets
- Relationship-building personality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work evenings/weekends (event industry timing)
