About the job Senior NodeJS Engineer I Vietnam relocate to Georgia

Our client is a software development and digital solutions company serving clients across the FinTech, iGaming, and Marketing sectors. The company has successfully delivered 20+ innovative products across 5 international markets, including Brazil, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The company is now launching a new project in Georgia.

⟢  Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn business problems into clear, practical backend architecture — not just tickets to close.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of backend services: design, build, deploy, and monitor in production.
  • Build and evolve core Node.js/TypeScript services and RESTful APIs that stay fast, reliable, and responsive as the user base scales.
  • Design efficient data models and write complex queries across MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MySQL — including queries that support compliance and financial reporting needs.
  • Build every API and backend process with security as a first-class concern: strong authentication (OAuth 2/JWT), safe data handling, least-privilege access.
  • Integrate messaging systems (RabbitMQ/Kafka) and service-to-service communication that keeps distributed services in sync.
  • Deploy and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes, with CI/CD pipelines and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) built in from day one.
  • Mentor other engineers and help shape team practices, pushing toward a more self-organized, continuously improving team.
  • Question existing systems and processes, and simplify them wherever it makes the team faster or the product better.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and deep hands-on knowledge of Node.js (Java or Golang is a plus).
  • Solid grounding in object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Comfortable with large-scale data processing and microservices — efficient data flows, query optimization, and working with high-volume datasets.
  • Practical experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) databases; familiarity with ODM/ORM tools like Mongoose, TypeORM, or Sequelize is a plus.
  • Strong communicator who works well both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
  • Exposure to RabbitMQ and/or Kafka.
  • Experience with OAuth 2 and JWT.
  • Experience integrating APM tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.

⟢ Benefits:

  • Discover the unique blend of European and Russian culture that defines life in Georgia.
  • Official employment in compliance with Georgia labor law
  • Partial coverage for breakfast and lunch
  • Relocation package, including flight tickets and 4-8 weeks of accommodation in a company apartment
  • Home visit benefit 2 flight tickets/year to reunite with your family
  • Hybrid working & flexible hours
  • Annual fitness budget for employees
  • Multinational team with members from 16 countries, diverse yet supportive
