Position Overview
PiTech Solutions Inc. is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to support growth within the Federal Government IT consulting market. This independent contractor role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and influencing contract opportunities across federal agencies and prime contractor ecosystems.
The contractor will play a critical role in expanding the companys pipeline, shaping opportunities, and supporting capture efforts through contract award. This engagement is commission-based and suited for experienced federal business development professionals with established networks and a strong understanding of government acquisition processes.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification & Qualification
- Identify and assess federal IT consulting opportunities aligned with company capabilities
- Monitor procurement forecasts, industry sources, and agency priorities
- Engage agency stakeholders, partners, and primes to uncover pipeline opportunities
- Evaluate opportunity viability and strategic fit
Relationship & Market Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with federal agency personnel and industry partners
- Represent the company at industry events, briefings, and networking engagements
- Support teaming discussions and partnership development
Capture & Pursuit Support
- Support capture strategy development and opportunity positioning
- Coordinate with technical and leadership teams to shape solutions
- Contribute to win strategies and pursuit planning
- Facilitate internal coordination throughout the opportunity lifecycle
Opportunity Management
- Track opportunities through pipeline stages
- Maintain documentation of engagement activities
- Support transition from capture to proposal or award phases
- Provide updates to leadership on pipeline status
Compliance & Professional Conduct
- Conduct all activities in accordance with applicable federal acquisition regulations and ethical standards
- Protect proprietary and procurement-sensitive information
- Represent the company professionally and in alignment with organizational policies
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in federal government business development, capture, or account growth
- Working knowledge of federal procurement processes and contracting environments
- Established professional network within federal agencies or government contracting ecosystem
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage opportunity pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT consulting, digital transformation, data, or cloud services pursuits
- Prior success contributing to contract wins or pipeline expansion
- Familiarity with teaming strategies and partner engagement
- Understanding of federal acquisition lifecycle and opportunity shaping
Compensation
- Commission-only compensation based on executed contracts attributable to the contractors efforts
- Commission structure and payment terms defined in Exhibit A of the Independent Contractor Agreement
- No salary, benefits, or expense reimbursement unless otherwise agreed in writing
Engagement Terms
- Independent contractor relationship (not employment)
- Engagement remains active until terminated by either party with thirty (30) days written notice
- Contractor must maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable regulations
- All materials developed during engagement remain property of the Company
- Governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina
