Job description

A talented and dynamic candidate is sought by our client in the Telecommunications sector to join their Help Desk Support team. This individual will report to the NOC Manager and will be the first point of contact, providing remote technical assistance across all branches, monitoring alarms ,creating tickets and scheduling according to priority .

Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events, problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures
  • Email configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes where need be.
  • Kerio/Firewall configuration and assistance.
  • Domain registration, renewal & transfer, or delete


Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or related
  • At least 1 year experience as an IT technician, Helpdesk/IT Call centre or related
  • A strong working knowledge of computer system software
  • Good Problem Solving and team working skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An openness to learning new technologies
