Job Description for Oracle Financial ERP Consultant
Location: Dallas, TX (Candidates must be local or nearby)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire (C2H), or Corp-to-Corp (C2C)
Technical Skills:
Oracle Financial ERP System Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of Oracle Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Order to Cash, Device Life Cycle, Purchasing, and Expenses.
- Expertise in end-to-end data and process flows within Oracle Financials.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) & Oracle Cloud Financials:
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, particularly for integration with test automation tools.
- Proficiency in Oracle Cloud Financials features and tools.
Data Management:
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Financial ERP databases, including SQL and PL/SQL for querying and architectural design of test automation.
- Hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for Oracle ERP data flows.
- Proficiency in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or equivalent tools.
System Architecture & Design:
- Proven experience in ERP architecture design, particularly for financial management and supporting business processes.
Functional Skills:
Financial Accounting Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, including General Ledger, trial balances, financial close processes, and chart of accounts.
Business Process Mapping:
- Capability to align business processes with Oracle Financials functionality.
- Experience in process reengineering to optimize financial workflows.
Project Management:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) for ERP implementation.
- Proficiency with project management tools like JIRA for tracking implementation progress.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Strong skills in collecting and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into test validation rules for Oracle Financials systems.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Expertise in creating and executing test cases, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Capability to validate the accuracy of financial transactions and processes within the ERP system.
Training & Documentation:
- Experience in developing training materials and conducting end-user training sessions.
- Proficiency in documenting processes, configurations, and customizations for future reference.
