Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL (Hybrid 2 to 3 days onsite)
Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months CTH)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Production Support / Application Support professional to join our team supporting a major financial services client. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in application support, scripting, and systems operations within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications in a hybrid on-prem/cloud infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications, infrastructure, databases, and integrations.
  • Perform platform administration tasks including deployments, upgrades, incident resolution, and change management.
  • Analyze securities data and vendor market pricing feeds for timely and accurate processing.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support end-to-end delivery and operations.
  • Maintain system and operational documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, test plans, and incident reports.
  • Automate deployments and routine tasks using scripting and DevOps tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Programming/Scripting: Java, Perl Scripting, Shell Scripting
  • Database: Oracle, SQL Server (strong SQL skills required)
  • Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX/Linux
  • Monitoring Tools: AppDynamics, Prometheus, Splunk, Cloud Probes, Moog (or similar)
  • CI/CD Tools: GitLab or equivalent
  • Project Tools: JIRA, Confluence
  • Cloud: Experience in internal and external cloud platforms
  • Vulnerability Management: Experience identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, Snowflake
  • Background in financial services, particularly understanding of securities and market data
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines and related DevOps practices
