About the Role:
Join a dynamic trading support team as a Fidessa L2 Specialist, providing critical functional and technical support for Equity Principal Trading and Cash Desks. Youll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting trade flows, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless operations for traders using the Fidessa platform.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone with deep Fidessa expertise, equity market knowledge, and a passion for problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve Fidessa trade flow issues (order routing, execution, booking).
- Provide functional support to traders and sales teams.
- Document, track, and escalate incidents as needed.
Trade Desk Enablement:
- Support dealer-to-client (D2C) electronic trading workflows.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams for issue resolution.
Process Improvement:
- Maintain detailed logs of issues and resolutions.
- Identify recurring problems and suggest long-term fixes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on Fidessa experience (non-negotiable).
Strong knowledge of equity markets (cash equities, order types, trading workflows).
Proven experience in L2 application support (financial services preferred).
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure trading environment (quick decision-making).
PMP or equivalent certification (project management skills a plus).
Nice-to-Have (Preferred but Not Required):
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Previous experience in investment banking, hedge funds, or sell-side trading.
