About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect with deep expertise in FedRAMP compliance to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will design and implement secure cloud architectures that meet stringent federal standards, including FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, secure cloud environments, and protect sensitive federal data.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Secure Architecture Design:
  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures for SaaS, application management, and customer data planes.
  • Define and document FedRAMP authorization boundaries and security control planes.
    • Act as the technical authority for FedRAMP compliance, ensuring adherence to federal security standards.
    • Collaborate with compliance teams to design and implement controls and ensure audit readiness.
      • Recommend secure configurations for cloud services (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
      • Balance FedRAMP requirements with security best practices.
        • Educate engineering and IT teams on compliance-driven architecture and federal security requirements.
        • Partner with development and operations teams to draft security standards and implement monitoring.
          • Select security tools and microservices that meet federal requirements.
          • Advise on container scanning, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and runtime security.
            • Develop and review deliverables such as Authorization Boundary diagrams, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Incident Response Plans.
