Steel Melting Shop (SMS) Production Manager

Location: Jharsuguda, Odisha

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Manager for our client's integrated steel plant. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in metallurgy and 10-15 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee SMS production processes, including furnace operation, ladle refining, and casting.
• Ensure efficient, high-quality steel production, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and optimize processes.
• Lead and support a team of engineers, technicians, and workers.
• Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in a Steel Melting Shop production role.
• Expertise in steelmaking processes (furnace operation, ladle refining, casting).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
