Job Summary: Our client, an integrated steel plant in Jharsuguda, Odisha, seeks a skilled Asst. Manager / Sr. Engineer - SMS (Mechanical) with a BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering and 5-10 years of relevant experience in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) department.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of mechanical equipment and systems in SMS.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend productivity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.

Requirements:

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in the steel industry, preferably in SMS.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems in the steel industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Jharsuguda, Odisha.
