Position: Technician (Sponge Iron Division)

Our client operates an integrated steel plant in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

Position Summary:
The Technician in the Sponge Iron Division is responsible for operating and maintaining plant machinery and equipment, monitoring production processes, and ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain machinery such as kilns and coolers
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot technical issues
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company regulations
• Keep detailed production and maintenance records
• Collaborate with team members on process improvements
• Train and mentor junior technicians

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI / High school diploma (Electrical or C&I technical certification preferred)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the steel industry
• Technical expertise in sponge iron production processes
• Familiarity with safety standards and industrial protocols
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
