Our client is a leading steel conglomerate with a state-of-the-art integrated steel plant located in Siltara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The company specializes in producing a wide range of structural steel products and has also installed a captive power plant to support its operations.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Assistant to support the Managing Director in overseeing the operations of our steel plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the steel industry and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The role requires working closely with the Managing Director and other senior management to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the Managing Director in all aspects of the steel plant operations
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve plant efficiency and productivity
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitors, and market demands to provide insights and recommendations to the Managing Director
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely completion of projects and resolve any technical issues that may arise
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required by the Managing Director
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the plant and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation for the plant
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in the steel industry and make recommendations for their implementation in the plant
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in the plant
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the steel industry, preferably in a technical role
- Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficient in using MS Office and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of delivering results and meeting targets
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of local and international steel market trends and regulations is an added advantage
Salary:
The salary for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and performance during the interview. It is negotiable and no bar for the right candidate.
