Position: Power Plant - Instrumentation Shift Engineer

Our client, a leading steel conglomerate, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Plant - Instrumentation Shift Engineer to join their team at their state-of-the-art integrated steel plant in Siltara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the instrumentation systems in the power plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the instrumentation systems in the power plant, including control systems, sensors, and transmitters.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the instrumentation systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of the power plant.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they occur.
  • Collaborate with other shift engineers and technicians to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the power plant.
  • Train and supervise junior engineers and technicians in the operation and maintenance of the instrumentation systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, as well as equipment performance and downtime.
  • Implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in instrumentation technology to suggest improvements and upgrades to the power plant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a power plant or heavy industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including control systems, sensors, and transmitters.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation systems.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a power plant setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and be on call for emergencies.
